MICHAEL JAMES SCOTT

Michael James Scott has played the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin internationally including Broadway, London, the North American Tour and originating the role in the Australian Production for which he won the prestigious Helpmann Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. 

He’s also known for originating the role of the Minstrel on Broadway in Something Rotten and originating Dr. Gotswana (aka The Maggots Guy) in the Tony-winning phenomenon The Book of Mormon. Other Broadway credits include Mamma Mia, Tarzan, All Shook Up, The Pirate Queen, Elf, and Hair. 

On the West End, he was the associate choreographer and performed in the Broadway revival transfer of Hair. Off-Broadway, co-starring in Here’s to the Public opposite Donna McKechnie, and was also part of the concert cast of Jerry Springer: The Opera at Carnegie Hall. He was the standby for the legendary Ben Vereen in the Int. tour of Fosse, taking over the role in Paris, France at the Théâtre du Châtelet. Outside NYC, original Las Vegas Co. of Jersey Boys and in Shrek the Musical as the Donkey at the famous St. Louis Muny. 

Regional credits include Aida, Ragtime, South Pacific, Cinderella and Little Shop of Horrors to name a few. Numerous television and film appearances including The Carrie Diaries (The WB), Independent Woman (Feature Film), The View (ABC), The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (NBC), The Late Show with Conan O’Brien (NBC), Good Morning America (ABC), The Today Show (NBC) The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (CBS), The TONY Awards (CBS) and the new Showtime series Black Monday. 

He was a member of the critically acclaimed singing group The Broadway Boys and Grammy-nominated Broadway Inspirational Voices and he can be heard on many original Broadway cast albums, multiple studio recordings, and the Broadway Boy's debut Album Lullaby of Broadway. Ashley Brown (Guest Artist)

Ashley Brown originated the title role in Mary Poppins on Broadway for which she received Outer Critics, Drama League, and Drama Desk nominations for Best Actress. Brown has also starred as Mary Poppins in the national tour, garnering a Garland award for “Best Performance in a Musical.” Other Broadway credits include Belle in The Beauty and The Beast. She has also starred in Jack O’Brien’s national tour of The Sound Of Music. Additionally, she has starred in both Oklahoma and Showboat at Chicago’s Lyric Opera. Ms. Brown has also performed with virtually all of the top orchestras in North America, including the Boston Pops, the New York Philharmonic, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra at Disney Hall, The Pittsburgh Symphony, the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, Fort Worth Symphony, the Cincinnati Pops, Philadelphia Orchestra, etc. Her PBS special “Ashley Brown: Call Me Irresponsible” received a PBS Telly Award. TV credits include NBC’s The Sound of Music.

Casey Nicholaw (Director)

Received 2006 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for his work on The Drowsy Chaperone and 2005 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Best Choreography for Monty Python’s Spamalot. Additional New York credits include direction and choreography for Follies (Encores!); Candide (NY Philharmonic, “PBS Great Performances”); South Pacific (Carnegie Hall, “PBS Great Performances”); musical staging for CanCan (Encores!); Sinatra: His Voice. His World. His Way (Radio City Music Hall).

Other choreography: Lucky Duck (Old Globe), The Road to Hollywood (Godspeed). His next project is directing and choreographing Minsky’s, a new musical premiering at the Ahmanson in Los Angeles in January.

Terrance L. Lane, Ed.D (Musical Director)

Terrance L. Lane, Director of Concert Chorale and Co-Director of Opera Workshop/Music Theater at Bethune-Cookman University, has served in Music Education for over twenty-years, teaching chorus, piano, and music theory. Dr. Lane earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and continued his graduate studies in Piano Pedagogy and Choral Music at Florida State University. He has earned a Master of Business Administration Degree and a Doctorate of Higher Education Administration from the University of Phoenix.     

Dr. Lane is recognized for working with distinguished artists throughout his career; artists include Mary Roberts, Frances Walker, Leon Bates, Richard Fields, and James Streem. An award-winning musician, his recognitions include finalist and winner of the Tourgee DeBose Piano Competition, where he received the Young Artist Award and the Frances Walker Performance Award.  He has collaborated with world-renowned artists during his career, including Michael James Scott, Curtis Rayam, Richard Smallwood, Kurt Carr, and Byron Cage.   

Throughout thirty years, Mr. Lane has served as Minister of Music for several churches and denominations, yielding various music genres. His choral ensembles have regularly received superior ratings and named winners in choral competitions. He has served as vocal coach and music director for several productions, including Joplin's Treemonisha; Gershwin's Porgy & Bess; Yellen's Black Bird, Robertson’s Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill; Gesner's You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown; and the Orlando Chapter of the Links, Inc.’s How Sweet the Sound.  His professional organizations include the American Choral Directors Association, National Association for Music Education, and Florida Vocal Association.

Tiffany N. Roby (Theatard) 
(Production Stage Manager / Covid Lead)

Tiffany is honored to be working with Dreamthree Productions on Fierce Christmas.  She has worn many hats throughout her professional career with her most recent role as a COVID Compliance Officer on the VMA & CMT Music Awards.  Pre-COVID, Tiffany was creating the new Cirque du Soleil show, Drawn to Life.  Tiffany's work can also be seen throughout Walt Disney World & Universal Studios as she was the Production/Project Manager for a variety of shows and nighttime spectaculars (Harmonious, Bourne Stuntacular, Frozen Sing Along, Shanghai Disneyland).  Tiffany is extremely grateful for the love and support from her amazing husband (Ryan), two boys (Liam & Aiden) and her super supportive family and friends.

Jim Weisbecker (Lighting Designer)

Always a glass half full optimist, travel, saltwater aquariums, but most of all family, make up Jim “Ralphie" Weisbecker’s life. Originally from New Jersey, Jim started his career with a BFA from Rutgers, Mason Gross School for the Arts.  Always up for a magical experience, he started working for the Disney Company in 1997 and has credits that include designs for Walt Disney World, ESPN and the Disney Cruise Line.  As a freelance LD, he has also been involved in corporate works, theater, conventions, icon lighting, architectural and architainment lighting and anything else where he gets the chance to illuminate the world!

Etienne Porter (Sound Engineer)

Étienne “EJ” Porter is a professional Music Producer, Musician, Engineer and the Owner of Drummerboy Entertainment – a full service music production and entertainment company based in Sarasota, Florida.  With over 15 years and numerous  albums and live production show under his belt, EJ has produced songs, which have charted on Billboard as well as worked with Grammy Award winning Artists Marc Anthony and Joe Perry of Super-band Aerosmith, as well as being instrumental in launching the career of Christopher Eisenberg (Next Town Down) and Lukas James (300 Ent). Professional organizations and memberships include: Voting Member of The Recording Academy (The GRAMMYS), BMI Writer, Producer of MMPA (Multicultural Motion Picture Association) and ASYM (The American Society of Young Musicians).

Josh Vasquez (Technical Director)

Josh Vasquez- Happy to be working again with his family, Dream Three.  Proud member of Local One I.A.T.S.E. Josh spends most of his time as the head automation technician at the historic Studio 54 in New York City.  Some past credits include: The Sound Inside; Kiss Me Kate; Lifespan of a Fact; Sweat; A Bronx Tale; Holiday Inn; She Loves Me; Cabaret () Past Dream Three productions: For Real (); Songs for a New World () and SFNW at Broadway By the Beach ().  Josh looks forward to the return of live theater and especially the return of Broadway, his home. Love to Michael and Jeremy for decades of friendship. Love to his theater community for giving him life for the past 26 years. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS!!!  Love to his wife Abby for everything else!

Morgan Stone Langley

(Associate Producer / Vice-President Scratch Seventeen)

Morgan Stone Langley brings a diverse knowledge base, with a combined thirty years in business development, touring/staging/artist management, publishing, film (Dream Three Productions) and has more recently expanded as a consultant in marketing and digital strategy. Morgan is a self-actualized entrepreneur, project manager and consultant. 

Morgan started her first company in 1991. Since then, she has built a reputation on successfully starting or restructuring over fifty plus companies nationwide. Morgan’s unparalleled work ethic, attention to processes, procedures and high level of integrity makes any project she is involved with materialize, produce results and sustain. 
Morgan owned and operated an Artist Management Company (iAm Entertainment) with renowned vocal coach Manny Lujan (Linda Ronstadt, Vikki Carr, Christina Aguilera, George Lopez, The Beu Sisters and Mariachi Cobre to name a few) The two represented and managed countless other personalities. Currently, Morgan is business manager for Broadway’s own Michael James Scott.

Morgan was born and raised in Madison, Indiana. Her mother instilled a deep love for spiritual, folk and country music. Her musical influences include Jewel, Sarah McLaughlin and Norah Jones. A prominent entertainer herself, Morgan performed at the Walt Disney World Company, Orlando Ballet, Hard Rock Live, and multiple regional tours. Morgan’s own album, Feels Like You was produced by Peter Linesman with Music Mentor Productions in Toronto Canada.  
 
Morgan’s passion for live performance and keen business sense, make her a force in the industry. She believes the conceptualization of ScratchSeventeen and its mission will bring a welcomed balance to an ever-evolving industry.

Jeremy Merrifield (Producer)

Jeremy Merrifield is a writer, director, and producer who began making films after spending more than a decade working in New York’s Broadway theater community and the advertising industry.

His most recent film, BALLOON, stars Paul Scheer (Black Monday, The League) and Jonah Beres (Hulu’s PEN15) and uses the superhero myth to examine toxic masculinity and how we raise our boys. The film premiered at Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Short Fest and has been seen at New Orleans Film Festival, Hawaii International Film Festival, and HollyShorts Film Festival where it won Grand Prix qualifying for the 2020 Oscars.
Jeremy also wrote and directed a spec comedy pilot, FOR REAL, a satirical examination of American narcissism in the age of the social media star. In addition, his first short film, LINE, is based on his childhood growing up in a commercial fishing community and tells the story of a family of fishermen on the frontlines of the climate change crisis.

In the theater, Jeremy produced the concert and subsequent development workshop for Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown’s debut musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. In casting, he worked on THE BOY FROM OZ starring Hugh Jackman as well as Cameron Mackintosh’s CATS. As a director, he assisted the New York Theatre Workshop production of Houshang Touzie’s OUR SWEET LIFE BY THE PACIFIC OCEAN starring Shoreh Agdashloo and exploring the life of a Persian family living in America. Other credits include YANK! (Off-Broadway, associate producer), MARY POPPINS (Broadway, assistant to the producer), MISS SAIGON (Broadway tour).

Jeremy’s experience in advertising includes providing creative direction and consulting for Fortune 500 companies such as Oracle, Canon, Lucent, and Pfizer. He is a graduate of The American Film Institute’s conservatory directing program.
